Mr. Cotter joined Wilson King LLP in 1989 as an Articled Student and was called to the Bar on August 31, 1990. He graduated from UBC in 1988 with a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws. His preferred areas of practice are real estate, wills and estates, incorporations and general corporate/commercial matters.

He is a past member of the Prince George Home Builders' Association, past president and current member of the Prince George Estate Planning Council, past vice-president, past president and current member of the Northern British Columbia and Yukon Red Cross Regional Council and a past member of the O'Grady Catholic High School Council. Mr. Cotter is also past president of the Prince George Men's Basketball Association and a current member of the Prince George Downtown Rotary Club. Mr. Cotter enjoys playing sports including basketball and soccer.
