The lawyers and staff at Wilson King LLP take
pride in providing the highest quality of legal services -
it has been a tradition since our founding. We want to be
your lawyers, and we'd like you to know more about us.
Ours is the oldest law firm in Prince George, and one of
the oldest in the Province. After stepping down as a Judge
of the County Court of Kootenay, our founder, Peter E. Wilson,
Q.C., moved his family to Prince George. He commenced a legal
practice here in 1914.
In 1915 Mr. Wilson was retained to incorporate the City of
Prince George. Our firm has continued that retainer, as City
Solicitors, for over 85 years.
Mr. Wilson's long-time partner, Hubert B. King, Q.C., practiced
law in Northern British Columbia for more than fifty years.
Over the years a number of the members of this firm have
become judges of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, County
Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia. Many of our
colleagues have gone on to serve in other capacities, including
sessions as law school professors.
J.O. Wilson, Q.C., the son of firm founder, P.E. Wilson,
was an early partner of our firm, and went on to serve for
many years as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British
Columbia.
Today, we are an established and respected firm, providing
a wide range of services to a broad base of clients. We focus
on concerns integral to those in the north, and beyond. Of
course, we stay attuned to the latest technologies, to ensure
that we continue to service our clients effectively.
